YOUR MISSION
The primary function of a machining programmer is to design and optimize numerical control (NC) programs to operate machine tools in a machine shop.
Their responsibilities include:

Tool path optimization: Adjusting parameters to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and lifespan of cutting tools.

Reading and interpreting plans: Using technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with tolerances and customer requirements.

Selection of tools and machining parameters: Selection of cutting speeds, feeds, depths of cut, and machining strategies adapted to the materials.

Simulation and validation: Testing programs using simulation software to avoid collisions and ensure compliant manufacturing.

Operator support: Technical assistance to machinists for the installation and adjustment of settings in production.

Continuous improvement: Analyzing processes to reduce cycle times, minimize waste, and optimize production

The machining programmer plays a key role in the productivity and quality of manufactured parts by ensuring efficient and precise machining.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the machining supervisor, the CNC programmer programs numerically controlled machine tools and provides technical support to plant employees. They select the appropriate tooling for the machining operations to be performed. The programmer designs and drafts jigs and various special tools for machining. Based on the information received, the programmer develops an optimal work procedure and communicates it to the various stakeholders involved in planning.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
You hold a DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a DEP in CNC Machining and/or have relevant experience in the manufacturing industry. You possess excellent knowledge of machining software programming, preferably with Mastercam. Fluency in spoken and written English will be considered a significant asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Day shift: Monday to Thursday, from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 7:00 am to 11:00 am
