The CNC Turner Role:
We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Turner to join a dynamic and inclusive manufacturing team. In this role, you will set, operate, and oversee CNC turning machines to produce high-quality precision components for a variety of industries. Key Responsibilities:

Review job orders and interpret specifications and technical drawings before starting machining operations.

Set up and calibrate CNC turning machines with the correct tools for specific jobs.

Operate vertical boring machines (training will be provided)

Interpret engineering blueprints and work instructions to produce precision components.

Load raw materials and input machine settings, such as speed and tool selection, to meet specifications.

Perform quality checks using precision measurement equipment, including micrometers and calipers, to ensure components meet required tolerances.

Monitor machines for performance and identify issues such as tool wear, making necessary adjustments for optimal production.

Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure operations run smoothly.

Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and improve operational efficiency.

Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards and protocols to maintain a safe and inclusive working environment.
About You:

Proven experience in setting and operating CNC turning machines, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Strong skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving to resolve machining or tool-related issues.

Experience using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers.

Familiarity with a variety of materials such as steel, aluminum, and plastics.

A strong understanding of CNC programming is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
