CNC Machinist (Milling and Turning) IN Gateshead UK

Full Time

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Setter-Operator to join our machining team. This is a hands-on role requiring the ability to work independently, producing high-quality precision components to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Set, operate, and edit programs
Set tools, offsets, and fixtures independently
Produce parts to tight tolerances and quality standards
Inspect components using appropriate measuring equipment
Read and interpret engineering drawings (first and third angle projection)
Identify and resolve machining issues independently
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience working on haas CNC machining centers
Strong knowledge of Fanuc-controlled machines
Ability to fully set machines and tools from scratch
Experience editing CNC programs
Excellent understanding of engineering drawings
Confident working independently with minimal supervision
