Job Summary

Reporting to the Production Manager, the CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC lathes to machine simple parts in high-volume production, following established quality procedures. Throughout the production process, they must ensure traceability and compliance. They will also be involved in continuous improvement activities.

Skills profile and required qualifications

  • To have good manual dexterity;

  • A DEP diploma in machining or equivalent and/or significant experience in the machining or manufacturing field will be a considerable asset;

  • To show initiative;

  • Strong team spirit;

  • Demonstrate structure;

  • Demonstrate rigor, accuracy and precision.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Operate a CNC lathe, manufacture parts according to customer orders;

  • Verify the dimensions and quality inspection criteria of machined parts using measuring instruments (calipers, scales, radius gauge, etc.) following customer-specific manufacturing guidelines;

  • Complete the production and packaging reports and signify approval regarding the conformity of the production;

  • Identify any deviations from specifications and tolerances and correct the deviation;

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and strive to always improve working methods and ways of doing things in your department.

  • Participate in the training and integration of newly hired employees into their positions;

The conditions

  • Salary: Between $19.74 and $29.62 per hour, depending on the experience and skills of the successful candidate.
