Job description:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our dynamic, highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in programming, setting and operating CNC Milling machines. This role is crucial for producing high-quality components with precision and efficiency. The candidate will work closely with other team members to ensure that production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce components according to specifications and drawings.
• Programming using Heidenhain/Mazatrol control systems
• Set up and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workpieces for optimal machining performance.
• Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Perform basic maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret CAD designs and implement necessary modifications.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse environment.
• Maintain accurate records of production output and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
Skills & Experience:
• 2 years+ previous experience Programming, Setting, and Operating milling CNC machines
• Ideally experienced with using Heidenhain and/or Mazatrol control systems
• Background producing CNC machined components to a high standard
• Experience of milling ferrous and non-ferrous materials to tight tolerances
• Good timekeeping
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings is essential
• Carrying out first-off inspection checks
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools effectively.
• Acute attention to detail
